This happens often:
My screen just goes full black screen sometimes when I play GTA SA. It causes me to force shut down my computer which obviously isn't good. I pretty much think it's a resolution problem, because it did show somethings that are related to it.

I run GTA SA on 1920 x 1080 x 16, though my specs are really high, shouldn't be a problem with that.

Got no modifications installed.

x 16 color depth causes errors for me too. Delete gta_sa.set and run the game. It should work perfectly fine, however, use 1920 x1080 x 36 and there shouldn't be much of a problem.

If you get an error screen/message, try and post it here so I would give more details on what to do if the error persists.

Try this or maybe it's a virus. I had this problem but I deleted the whole GTA file and downloaded it again.

I got plenty of errors regarding black screens so i did my resolution at 1920 x 1080 x 36 then i got no errors and i can surely play nicely, thanks Josh.

Perhaps it could be a hardware-related issue.
Take your time and please comment below the specifications of your computer, as detailed as possible.

Try 1600x900x16 or 32

If it doesn't work... Maybe could be a hardware-related issue thing..

Did you update your graphics card to the latest version?

And... Could you give us your specs from your computer?

Try to update your graphics card or your drivers. Your RAM might not be working, try to switch their slots.

Try running in compatibility mode for different Windowses, before Windows 8. And disable display scaling on high DPI settings

I have the same problem. I'm pretty sure it's caused by hacks.

I just close my game by tabbing out, right clicking and closing. It never black screens that way. It's become a habit I don't even think about anymore.

It maybe because you disnt update your graphics card so it doesnt work or just the RAM not working?

My computer costs more than you will ever earn in your life (lol wtf is that suggestion).
Anyways I realised the problem, it has something to do with the pizza stacks. Everytime I go by there, I get the "total respect" bug then after a few minutes if not instantly I get the black screen. It happens at least 20 times a day but now that I haven't went to pizza stacks for about 2 hours I'm not getting it so pretty sure it's the mappers' fault (went high than the object limit).

I still need a solution as not all the players get this though I know for a fact it's the pizza stacks casuing this.
