Do mappers only work on donated projects? I never see that much mapping being done for the server and when I check their forums section they only have donated projects in progress.

How often is it that they get to work on server related mapping involving all players?

Personally, these days? Not too often.

As you can see here, Mapping Projects, the section is empty.

Mappers can work on donated projects and In game maps [Public]. Like, if Smo/Devs added a new job and they want a map, they can call mappers to do it for them and that's known as Public map. They can also work on donated groups and finish them.

Depends in the developers, they can add it and make a GMX or add it in the coming update.

I’ll give you an example. So, what about stacks map? it’s public map so you can always see it. about donator maps, it can be removed if it’s inactive but public maps can’t get removed for inactivity, it stays as it is until a dev/mapper manager want to adjust it/remove it.

Only if a lead developer updates the file in the server's FTP and reloads the mapping script, it get updated. A rcon admin can reload the script but cannot update it my him, only a lead developer/Smo can do that.

Mapping is mainly done when a mapper wants to map something for themselves or if somebody donates.

yes it can be. and no you don't have to leave the area, you can watch it load/unload

Lead developer or Octet and admins can load it and make a gmx to add it.
