    Computer technical help.

    In-Game Name: Argo_Sin
    Date: 07/02/2018
    Your Question:
Every few days my PC will randomly freeze up.
    My mouse, sound, everything.
Will completely stop working and force me to hard reset my PC to be able to use it again.
I am unsure why this is happening, I have hopes that maybe one of you know the exact issue and a way to fix it.

I can provide any information needed!

I don't think it's caused by GTA, as it happens no matter what I am doing but I could be wrong..

Should not.. Actually should really not even freeze a bit, do you have something heavier installed? Which probably runs in the background or anything similar to that? If not then I'd advise consulting the seller of your machine. It's not something ordinary or usual.

I mean I also face lag spikes playing GTA SAMP, and it does not happens only in SARP but also happens in a few other servers, I know the cause it's my laptop not being able to handle shit load of background applications running behind. But considering your PC's specification, should not even hang a bit.

Well, my computer is about 3 or so years old now and for the first 2 and a half years it never had a problem.
Up until a few months ago it started to do this.
No matter what I am playing.
Iv added an SSD drive so I have a HDD and an SSD now but the problem still happens.
the only games I play are world of Warcraft, Runescape, and of course sarp.

Then I recommend running a full time scan using Windows Defender, let it detect if there's any malware, spyware, virus, temporary files, cache or files that are of no use just causing space and lag, then delete them permanently. Also try manually deleting what's not in your use anymore and is stored.

    Despite that, try this;

-) Click on the search button right on left at the bottom.

-) Now just type 'run' and a desktop application should show up on the start menu.
-) Open it and type 'temp' in it.

-) Now press and hold CTRL + A to copy all the files at once and delete them, some files will not be deleted and an error will pop up, leave them.

    Alright, hey.

This can be caused by the Windows 10 update, if you're using windows 10, you can try downgrading back to the old version or installing windows 8.1, try this and reply below.

    Cheers!

I did a fresh install of Windows 10 about 1 week ago.
So everything I had was deleted, so even on a fresh install it still seems to occur.

@Payne I'd rather not downgrade my windows, it has to be something wrong with my computer.
My brother has windows 10 as well, and plays pretty much the same things as me if not more, but his computer has never froze like mine has.
Stefan said it could be a memory leakage or something, but I am not sure how to identify if it is that.

The problem you described could be due to some reasons, most common are : Too high temperatures,Faulty Power Supply,Faulty Ram,Faulty GPU or Driver issues.

    1) Download Speed Fan and check your temps while gaming
    http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php
If you notice very high temperatures you should open your Pc clean all the dust off it and eventually reapply thermal paste on your CPU (Check if all the fans are spinning aswell)

    2) Download and install Iobit Driver Booster and run it,see if you are facing the problem even after updating all the drivers.

Then it is not your windows or anything like that but your PC(hardware), do what Synero said and it SHOULD help, dust is also a reason.

Or else talk to the seller about it or something, but first try Synero's advise.

My computer temperatures are good,I have the program called Speccy which shows their temp, and they are allgreen(meaning good)
And for dust, iv cleaned it a few times actually so it's not a dust problem.
I'll try the suggestion from Synero, Got to check out these programs, are they 100% safe?

It shouldn't . Did you checked with windows defender it there's virus or somthing ?

Dude, trust me I had the same issues with windows 10 and my PC is a gaming one, just downgrade your WINDOWS 10 to the older version before the latest update you did, no need to change the windows completely lol, google that.

I will look into it but, another thing is..
On my Tower I have a button called HDD/Reset, and it always flashes red..
But when the computer freezes I notice the red light goes away, meaningI guess the harddrive stopped working?
I am no genius but could that be related to it?

That's what I am thinking too.
But it's weird that it still happens when my SSD is my main storage, could it be the HDD is corrupted/damaged and its causing any storage device to malfunction leading to the computer completely freezing?

Even if your SSD is set as your default storage, your HDD is still connected to your machine, try removing your HDD and see if the issues fixes, hopefully.
