I used to record with Power screen recorder, I didn't record a lot tbh but it was pretty good ..

Fraps is the best recording software, and you can turn the Fraps video into mp4 easily using Handbrake or any other converter.

I'd definitely recommend Fraps despite the massive amount of storage it takes.

You have to be quick to organize your recordings, if you need it use it (FC, Youtube video, post on forums, etc) but if you don't just delete.

Buy yourself an Elgato, it doesn't affect swallow your ram like fraps etc, and it's consistent quality.

Yeah its 480p but i dont use it for big game i only use it for FC and yeah an Elgato would be the best.

FastStone reduces video quality and size by using a compressed format. Though don't expect best quality with little size.
