The higher your FPS the easier its going to be for you to shoot and aim well.. the game will run smoother.. (AS LONG AS IT ISN'T HIGHER THAN 45!!!) The only real downfall to having high FPS is; if it is 30+ you will swim slow. There is some bug in same that makes you swim slow when your fps is +30.. easiest thing to do if you really needed to swim somewhere is /fpslimit 25 when you're taking a swim.
Also.. /fpslimit sets your FPS 3 frames lower than what you set it at.. So like if you do /fpslimit 48, you're really getting 45 FPS. Use a program like fraps to make sure. You do NOT want your FPS higher than 45 because it will make it difficult to strafe while shooting. I personally use /fpslimit 40 or /fpslimit 42. In my years playing samp I've found that those are the best to use.
