    Skin Modding

Probably get this a lot but i haven't got the slightest clue on how to go about installing mods. I've downloaded a few that people have posted on forums but yeah am completely lost when it comes to installing them. If anyone can give me a guide or step by step on how to that'd be dope cheers.

Youtube is quite usefull for these sort of things.
A skin mod is a .img, so the best program to use it img-tool 2.0.

It's pretty easy, you just need to download Spark or IMGTool. I prefer IMGTool 2.0 anyways, click here to download IMGTool if you didn't had that yet.

Here is a video which would help you out a little, since you just need to know the skin name, which can be found here. To be clear, the skin name is 'Skin Model Name' on that website, for skin ID 0, it's 'cj' for instance.

You can pick any skin you'd like to change. You can even replace skin ID 0 with this mod for instance, it's just up to you which skin you'd like to replace.

You can also search google by yourself, just type in ''how to install skin mods gta sa'' or whatever.

Yea, Taylor you done that wrong, Maybe you already had a mod with that skin or maybe you didn't done that alright - Because I think, you missed the .txd or maybe .dff file, I think that would work - Did you backup your GTA?, If yes restore the old file and if no, Reinstall the GTA - and re-download and reinstall the mod aswell. That would help

The reason the skin is grey is because you failed to follow the steps correctly. You imported 1 of the 2 files needed to change a skin. The .txd and the .dll need to be imported and saved

If you're having problems installing mods in general, I suggest installing the San Andreas Mod Installer.
